Review by JOE KING

Prophetic singer, recording artist, worship leader, Great Britain.

Here is an album with a really good mix of songs suitable for congregational worship and a variety of musical styles. I'm not sure where Loren's musical influences are drawn from but 'River Rising' has echoes of Springstein's 'Born In The USA'. The wonderful guitar on 'I Hear A Crying' has touches of Greg Lake's 'I Believe In Father Christmas'. The haunting melody of 'Your Love Is All' had shades of the early Beatles, 'A Taste of Honey' . Each track demonstrates Loren's outstanding acoustic guitar technique, in particular the foot-tapping 'In The Name of The Lord'. 'This Is God' is such a clever lyric on the recent manifestations to/reactions to the Holy Spirit and 'Lifter of My Head' and 'Let Freedom Ring' sound like they'd draw an immediate response from a congregation ready to worship. Personally I think a live worship album using some of these songs and others from Loren's previous albums would see many new doors opening for him. God speed!!
