AN OPEN LETTER TO DAVID WILKERSON

I post this letter to David Wilkerson for all of you to see for reasons that will become apparent as you read. It was sent to the only email address I have for his ministry. Whatever happens in the days to come, and whatever prophetic words turn out to be right or wrong, we believers must stand together. As people have pitted David's and my words against one another in various venues and forums, many ungracious things have been said about us both - not by David and not by me, but by others. May this letter put an end to any budding ugliness unbefitting followers of Christ.

Hello David,

I am trusting your staff to pass this on since I have no email address for you. Recently I posted a pair of prophetic words on my website that were picked up by Charisma, by The Elijah List and by Christianity Today, among others. I wrote these words having neither read nor been aware of your own prophetic words concerning fires in New York, financial collapse etc. Needless to say, your name was never mentioned in my writings, nor was I even aware of what you had said.

However, it has become apparent to me that others are pitting my words against yours both in quotes included in articles and in discussion forums. We have very different visions of what must soon come to pass and we both believe we have heard from God.

I want you to know that I deeply respect you for the souls you've won, the places you've penetrated with the gospel and the impact you have had on this world for Jesus - all far beyond my own. Although our respective prophetic words differ in terms of what we believe we have heard from God concerning the future, the last thing I would want would be to be perceived as dishonoring or opposing you in any way. Therefore, please know that no matter how others may choose to use or respond to our respective published prophetic words, I mean no negativity toward you. I honor your position in the body of Christ and your integrity as a man of God.

Brothers can differ in matters not pertaining to our ultimate salvation, but they must do so in honor. Let the world know that I honor you. We both seek to save the lost and for America to turn to God in repentance.

God bless,
