THE TRUTH ABOUT OUR STREAM

worship

WORSHIP: Revival brings passionate, enthusiastic love for Jesus, outwardly demonstrated. You'll see dancing, clapping, triumphal shouting, occasional laughing when the joy overflows and sometimes quiet weeping in our gatherings as we openly respond to His touch and freely express our love.

The WORD: We are firmly and deeply committed to the faithful teaching of the Scripture at every meeting. This is our guide, our foundation, our food and our fence. Our teaching is the historic Christian gospel as expressed in the Bible and the ancient creeds.

ministry

MINISTRY: We permit no hype and no manipulation of any kind in our ministry. Our ministry teams are carefully trained to suggest no manifestations of any kind. We don't push people down. We don't shout or use strange body motions when we minister. When we pray for them some people do fall, shake, cry out or laugh as they experience God's power and love. The result is lightness, freedom, and deeper love for Jesus.
BARKING, ROARING AND ANIMAL SOUNDS

If you believe this kind of strangeness is normative in our stream of this revival, we can only conclude that you have been listening to one of that multitude of liars out there who seem to be garnering so much national attention these days. Sorry to be so uncharitable, but a lie is a lie, and the one who tells a lie is a liar. To date, we have not seen this kind of manifestation at New Song. So, while it may happen from time to time (and we have heard of instances in other places), it is not a "practice" in our stream, nor is it a feature of any of our meetings here in Denver.
