SUMMER MINISTRY/MISSION TRIP TO THE NAVAJO NATION
July 24 a large team left for a week with
the Navajo Nation. Painting and renovation work will be done on various
buildings in the Hard Rock mission compound and our team will help lead
a series of revival meetings both in the main tent with the adults and with the
children's program. The
picture is of our team under Inez Saragosa leading the children's
ministry in the church building at the revival in July
of last year.
"PEOPLE OF PRAYER" REVIVED
Our
prayer and intercession ministry that undergirds and strengthens
everything we do has been revived and restructured. At all of our
prayer times we now hold to a disciplined focus on certain goals that
are printed out and distributed. "The Home Run" still meets on Thursdays from 4:30 to 5:30 in Pastor Loren's office. "People of Prayer" meets
the first and third Mondays of every month and has shifted to a "harp
and bowl" format while maintaining the same discipline of focus as "The
Home Run". "Harp and bowl" refers to prayer undergirded with worship.
The music is non-stop, flowing prophetically with the tone of the
praying. Many prayers are spontaneously sung. We've also added a new
prayer time called "Watchmen: A Call to Battle" that meets at 5:00 p.m. at the church on the second and fourth Sundays of the month.
"RESTORATIONS" becomes "TRANSFORMATIONS"
This month Penny Leon, our executive secretary, assumed the leadership of our counseling department.
She will be devoting half of her time to the department and half of her
time to the secretarial position. We are hiring a part time
administrative staff person to fill the other half of the secretarial
role. In honor of the change and the rebirth of our counseling
department, we are changing the name from "Restorations" to "Transformations".
More trained lay counselors are being made available so that we can
touch more lives with the healing they so deeply need. Already good reviews are coming in. Our
Transformations course (year long in two parts), based on the Elijah House School videos, is
being revamped for more ministry and group interaction. Watch for
seminars and groups to be offered on special topics in coming days. First up this
September is a 13 week course called "Financial Peace University" to
help believers achieve just what the title says. For more information on FPU

N.O.A.H.H. "No One Allowed Homeless or Hungry"
N.O.A.H. (No One Allowed Hungry or
Homeless)
serves a free lunch every Wednesday at 12:15 and
takes meals to more than 40 senior citizens. After these deliveries
NOAHH delivers lunches to approximately 300 homeless in the inner city.
Volunteers are always needed. Talk to Patty in the cafe.
EIGHTEEN YOUTH AND LEADERS TO INTERNATIONAL HOUSE OF PRAYER
Wednesday,
July 21 we sent a group to a conference for high school youth (a couple
thousand) at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City. The
glory fell and the group returned on fire, to say the least. They're
bringing revival home with them!

PASTORS LOREN AND BETH TO TO NEW ZEALAND
Pastors
Loren and Beth Sandford will be leading a prophetic conference in New
Zealand August 9-16. So far this year either Pastor Loren or both of
them together have been in the UK, Ukraine (with son and co-pastor,
Nathan and a team from New Song), Boston (Loren alone at Metrowest Bridge Church),
Toronto, and Las Vegas (Loren alone to Dunamis Apostolic Training Center).
CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations to Cody Wanberg and Dawnlaura Panger (left)
who were married on Saturday July 10. It's been a joy to watch young
people who came to Jesus
in our youth group in their high school years entering young adulthood
and beginning fruitful lives in their Lord. Cody is a member of our
Administrative Board. The Wanbergs also serve on the team that leads
our youth program. Also congrats to Steve Hocking and Loretta Darnell (right) married at New Song on July 24.
PASTOR LOREN'S NEW BOOK
"RENEWAL FOR THE WOUNDED WARRIOR: A Burnout Survival Guide for Believers"
Published by Chosen Books, this was released in February. Reports have
come in from far and wide testifying to its healing impact. Includes a
foreword by Dr. James Goll. The precursor to this book was Burnout: Renewal in the
Wilderness which was hailed by the late Jack Frost as the
best book on burnout available. To a gathering of pastors in Toronto Jack
stated that it saved his ministry. This new book is an updated and
refined rewrite of that earlier book that never really got into the market.
NEW LIVE WORSHIP CD - "TIME TO RISE"
Recorded
from live worship at New Song Fellowship, Denver, Colorado and subtly
enhanced in the recording studio. All songs were either were written by Pastor Loren Sandford for use in
worship at New Song or were spontaneously created by the team under the
anointing of the Spirit in the fire and glory of worship. It
is our
prayer that we have captured the best of some very anointed worship
services and this music will lead you into an experience of worship
almost as if you were there! Samples in .mp3 format: Sample 1 Sample 2 Sample 3 Sample 4
